बच्चों ने ली मेरी गणितीय परीक्षा... (Kids tested my mathematical skills...)

छुट्टियों के दौरान मेरे बच्चों सार्थक व निष्ठा, मेरे भाई वैभव के बच्चों जिज्ञासा व अम्बर, मेरे भतीजों लक्ष्य व उत्कर्ष और मेरी भान्जी अनन्या ने मेरी परीक्षा लेने का विचार बनाया...

सातों बच्चे मेरे पास आए, और सार्थक ने कहा, "पापा, हम में से हर एक की जेब में एक पर्ची हैं, जिनमें से प्रत्येक पर कोई एक अंक (शून्य से नौ तक कोई भी अंक) लिखा हुआ है... कोई भी अंक दोहराया नहीं गया है, और मेरी, जिज्ञासा व उत्कर्ष की जेबों के अंकों का गुणनफल उतना ही है, जितना निष्ठा, अम्बर व लक्ष्य की जेबों में मौजूद अंकों का गुणनफल है..."

मैंने उसकी ओर देखा, और पूछा, "क्या अनन्या की जेब में कोई अंक नहीं है...?"

तब अनन्या बोली, "मामू, मेरी जेब में भी एक अंक लिखा है, तथा मेरी, जिज्ञासा व अम्बर की जेबों के अंकों का गुणनफल बाकी दोनों गुणनफलों जितना ही है... अब क्या आप हमें बता सकते हैं, मेरी जेब में कौन-सा अंक है...?"

During the vacations, my kids Saarthak & Nishtha, my brother Vaibhav's kids Jigyaasa & Ambar, my nephews Lakshya  & Utkarsh and my niece Ananya thought of testing my mathematical skills...

All seven of them came to me, and Saarthak said, "Papa, each of us is carrying a different single digit number (any number from zero to nine) in his or her pocket... And the product of the numbers in the pockets of Jigyaasa, Utkarsh and I are as much as the product of the numbers in the pockets of Nishtha, Ambar and Lakshya..."

I looked at him, and asked, "Isn't Ananya carrying any number in her pocket...?"

Then Ananya said, "Maamu, of course, I too am carrying a number, and the product of the numbers in the pockets of Jigyaasa, Ambar and I is the same as the other two products... Now, can you tell me what number I am carrying in my pocket...?"
