(Eating competition in Chandni Chowk...)

Now, the same riddle in English...

Special Note: If you succeed in solving this one, well and good; but in case, you don't, just leave a comment, and I will mail the answer to you...

When I was young, I used to visit my nanihaal (maternal grandparents' home) in Chandni Chowk, during the summer vacations every year...

On one such visit I got to witness a unique competition, which can only take place in this walled city, called Puraani Delhi or Delhi-6, as people here are very fond of eating...

The competition lasted a week and scores of people participated in various contests...

Every contestant was alloted with a number each by the organisers, and each of them had to wear it on their T-shirts throughout the competition...

During the last couple of days, only five finalists were left, and they participated in two final samosa-eating and kachauri-eating competitions...

All five of them were alloted a different colour T-shirt (red, blue, green, black and white), which they were asked to wear during both the final contests...

The contestant numbers (on their T-shirts) of these five finalists were 21, 23, 31, 36, 40...

On both days, all five of them sat at the same position (on the table with five chairs in one single lane)...

These five contestants ate 26, 86, 123, 174, 250 kachauris, on day one of the final round, and ate 5, 42, 45, 98, 105 samosas, on day two...
  • Neeraj ate 44 less samosas than kachauris...
  • Harish had number 36 printed on his T-shirt...
  • The man on the far right ate 174 kachauris, and he had a smaller number on his T-shirt than Neeraj's... And the difference between the numbers was eight...
  • Satish was wearing a white T-shirt and ate 37 samosas fewer than Neeraj...
  • The man who was wearing a green T-shirt, had the number 19 less than the man to his left...
  • Nikhil ate 105 samosas and 250 kachauris...
  • The man in the centre had 31 on his blue T-shirt, and ate 42 samosas...
  • Neelesh, who was on the far left, ate 26 kachauris, and ate 72 samosas more than kachauris...
  • The man wearing a red T-shirt, had the number four more than Harish, and was not next to the person wearing a blue T-shirt...
  • The man, next to the number 31, but not next to the person who ate 26 kachauris, was wearing a black T-shirt, and ate 45 samosas...
Now, can you guys tell me, the colour of the T-shirt of each of the contestant, the number on his T-shirt, his position on the table, and the number of samosas and kachauris each of them ate...?
